Weaving a Ribbed Basket from Nature with Liz Mayberry

  • Studio on Whiteley 39 Whiteley St Dunedoo, NSW Australia (map)

Nothing beats gathering your own home grown vegetables, or eggs in a basket you made from plants from the garden.

During this two day workshop you will immerse yourself in a variety of weaving techniques such as string making, twining and randing.

Discover how to identify, collect and store plants from the garden and neighborhood, then learn how to make a ribbed basket with a basic framework of hoops and ribs, using an exciting mix of strappy leaves, vines and inflorescence.

While some weaving skills are an advantage, this workshop is suitable for all skill levels.

Your basket can be contemporary or traditional, and will be truly unique to your style.
