Twined Basket Weaving with Liz Mayberry

  • Studio on Whiteley 39 Whiteley St Dunedoo, NSW Australia (map)

Discover the simple pleasure of weaving a basket from common plants that grow in your garden

This one day workshop explores the art of twining, using a variety of vines and plants to make a basket, and is a great introduction to this weaving technique.

Twining becomes quite meditative to do, and lends itself to so many forms of basketry, either functional or sculptural.

There will be plenty of material for everyone to make and take home a small basket. You might get it finished on the day, or you’ll have enough material and knowledge to complete it after the workshop.

We will provide . . .

all weaving materials

tea and coffee

You will need . . .

a lunchbox for yourself, filled with deliciousness
