FREE WORKSHOP

Create a small woven artwork that tells a story, using the colours, shapes and textures of our object found in our natural environment.

Workshop Registration is FREE

The workshop will start with a gentle walk, on Wiradjuri Country, connecting with nature and gathering inspiration and materials to create a small wall hanging, as a visual memory of our walk.

Once we meet back at the Woodlands Yarning Circle, we will use the materials we gathered and learn the basics of loom weaving.

We will provide . . .

step by step guidance on basic weaving techniques

a take home handout explaining weaving tools and terminology

all the materials you need to make and use a small cardboard loom

You will need . . .

a chair or cushion

a water bottle and a packed lunch

a large, but light carry bag to gather and carry your materials in

comfortable walking shoes and suitable clothing for bush walking

a hat and sunscreen if the weather is warm
